Fifty thousand dollars to come up with no texting while driving on beach!!?? Asking schoolkids how THEY think driving can be made safer!!?? I think the people who came up with this idea are schoolkids themselves! Where will fifty thousand dollars be spent, making sure nobody is texting!!?? You people are a joke. The money went in your pockets! How many people were hurt by vehicle on the beach because of texting??? Your a bunch of fools, that do not know anything except take the peoples money, then give some lame excuse where your going to spend it!!

Dale Earnhardt was a hell of a RACER. As a DRIVER he wasn't much. Not hating on the dude, just telling the truth. His skill as a RACER is how he got to where he was in NASCAR. His driving skills were average at best. Don't believe me? Ask Richard By-God Petty about the whole driver vs. racer thing.

Dale hit the wall well before the 4th turn tunnel. This should be moved in front of the 3-4 turn tent area. Please email me for specifics (randy@kbcafe.com).

am i right in thinking that dales' crash was the reason they brought out the car of tomorrow? if thats the case then it takes similar precedent to ayrton sennas fatal crash. its so very unfortunate that it takes the death of a great driver, whatever the race format, to bring about radical changes in driver safety. rip dale

The spot on here of where Neil Bonnett died is incorrect. Bonnett's crash occured down the track from Dale Earnhardt's. Photos of his crash show him crashing close to the exit of turn 4......where the DAYTONA logo is on the wall.

That has been destroyed by the city council. They want it to be more "family like". But the go-kart tracks, arcades, and thrill rides seem "family like" to me!
